Sedici is a brand new Chamber Choir based in the North East of England. Its members are drawn mainly from Northern Sinfonia Chorus and Newcastle University, and was set up by Gail Davies and Simon Fidler in 2010. Sedici does not have a conductor, but is led from within the choir, with all members contributing in rehearsals and in repertoire decisions. With wide ranging repertoire from Medieval music to the 21st Century, Sedici are currently arranging concerts for Autumn 2010 and beyond. This will hopefully include collaborations with Newcastle Sinfonietta chamber orchestra, and a tour of village churches next year.
